Since 2003, Simon Garber has served as president of Yellow Cab SLSJet Management Corp., a taxi company based on Long Island, New York. In his free time, Symon Garber enjoys playing polo and attending Brooklyn’s Barclays Center to cheer on his favorite NBA team, the Brooklyn Nets.

The Brooklyn Nets have been busy off the basketball court during this holiday season giving back to those in need. As part of the Brooklyn Nets Assist program, the entire team recently participated in its annual Thanksgiving event, which took place November 23, 2015, at Bed-Stuy Campaign Against Hunger, which is Brooklyn’s largest food pantry.

During the event, Nets players distributed turkey, stuffing, and other side dishes associated with Thanksgiving to help underserved Brooklyn families prepare a holiday meal at home. In addition to Bed-Stuy, the Nets organization presented the event in partnership with Key Food, an East Coast-based supermarket chain that donated all the Thanksgiving food items.
